Pet Treat Recipes

only until construction at our Northside shelter is completed.


GINGER BREAD BONES

3 C flour (half can be whole wheat)

1/2 C molasses

1/2 C water

1/4 C canola oil

2 T ground ginger

1 t ground cinnamon

1/2 t ground cloves

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Roll out on floured baking board to 5mm thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutter (dog bone shape works best). Place on ungreased foil lined baking sheets. Bake for 20-30 min. Cool for 2 hrs before sealing in container or bag.


Woofys

1/2 cup milk

1 egg

2 tablespoons of peanut butter

a dash of water (about 1/8 teaspoon)

a dash of salt (about 1/8 teaspoon)
 
1 1/4 cups of flour

 

Mix the egg, peanut butter, water, and the milk in to a large bowl.

Then pour the flour and salt in.

Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

 

 

Yields

12 small/medium sized (2" x 2") cookie-like treats. They’ll look like vanilla cookies with a peanut butter aroma.

Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
