National Pig Day

National Pig Day is an event held annually on March 1 in the United States to celebrate the pig. The holiday celebration was started in 1972 by sisters Ellen Stanley, a teacher in Lubbock, Texas, and Mary Lynne Rave of Beaufort, North Carolina. Follow our tips on how to celebrate National Pig Day.

World Turtle Day began in 2000 and was started by the American Tortoise Rescue, which is a rescue organization run from Malibu, California in the U.S. - founded in 1990.

National Bird-Feeding Month

February has become the month most recognized with wild bird feeding promotions and activities. The month is an ideal time for promoting and enjoying the bird feeding hobby, which is home-based and nature-oriented. To help celebrate and promote National Bird-Feeding Month, a Guide to Better Bird Feeding was created. It includes several educational pamphlets on the best practices of bird feeding.

Dog Leg Open

The inaugural Dog Leg Open was held at Kenwood Country Club. Sponsored by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Castellini Allred Mann Group, the day was perfect for golf and larger-than-life dogs! Golfers and their guests enjoyed lunch, an 18-hole round and dinner by the bite at one of Cincinnati’s most beautiful clubs. Many thanks to Judy Recker and Tim Allred for their hospitality.
