About

Community Partners

We at SPCA Cincinnati are grateful for the invaluable support of our community partners, who work alongside us to fulfill our mission. We couldn't do what we do without you.

There has been a Schiff family member involved with SPCA Cincinnati for nearly 50 years. Currently that member is Tom Schiff, a recipient of the PB Johnston Humane Care award. Tom has been a generous contributor and friend to staff and furry friends. There isn’t an event he does not support, even helping design a special event recognizing donors in his own home.

Tom Chatham, the SPCA Cincinnati's Immediate Past Board Chair, is actively involved in raising awareness among his business colleagues as to the importance of supporting the plight of homeless and unwanted animals entrusted to our care. Tom has been known as a matchmaker - finding humans for pets who need homes! Tom and USI have been generous supporters of our events over the years.

Cincinnati Equitable Chairman, Peter Alpaugh has served on SPCA Cincinnati’s Board of Trustees for many years. He and his wife Vicki are true devotees of animals everywhere, with a penchant for cats. We are grateful for our long-standing friendship with the company.

We are proud to have IAMS™, a MARS brand, for yet another year of sponsorship and support of shelter pets across our great city. They have been a valued partner for the past two decades sponsoring our Adopt-A-Pet Fund, Fur Ball, and others. Their dedication, support, and commitment to donating truckloads of dog and cat food over the years has helped provide critical nutrition and answered the needs of our shelters for tens of thousands of animals in our care.

Gilligan Company has been there for us for so many projects from Adopt-A-Pet Fund to Fur Ball to the "Paw it Furward" pet sponsorship program to their very own Dunkin' Spotlight adoption room at the SPCA Cincinnati! They have gone above and beyond to help us out and have even fed our employees and volunteers at numerous events and celebrations. GoCo, Shell, Popeyes, and Dunkin' are just a few of Gilligan Company's brands.

Boehringer-Ingelgheim

Boehringer Ingelheim is committed to serve humankind by offering solutions contributing to longer, healthier and happier lives for pets. As a market leader in parasiticides, vaccines and therapeutics, they take the responsibility to continuously innovate and expand pet health solutions. They have been a generous supporter of the SPCA Cincinnati, providing us with flea and tick preventative products like NexGard and the heartworm preventative, Heartgard.

The Cincinnati Reds are an invaluable supporter of our mission. SPCA Cincinnati has a longstanding partnership with the Reds and their special Bark in the Park games, where guests can enjoy the excitement of Reds baseball alongside their pet at Great American Ball Park.

They facilitate corporate and private gatherings on a local, regional, and international scale by providing the best equipment, technologies, project management and in-house services for the event industry for over 35 years. Prestige AV is the Gala Production Sponsor for the SPCA Cincinnatis largest fundraising event, the Fur Ball Gala, raising nearly $520,000 with 700 guests.

It would be hard to find a more loyal, supportive and generous friend to SPCA Cincinnati than that of Local 12, Cincinnati’s CBS affiliate television station. Since 1988, SPCA staff have brought dogs and cats into the homes of hundreds of thousands of viewers annually to promote their adoption, and the continued support of animal welfare through our annual Adopt-a-Pet Fund TV show (telethon). The hundreds of thousands of dollars raised through the telethon have supported our efforts to care for unwanted and homeless animals in the Tri-State.

Being Married with Microphones allows Chris O’Brien and his wife, Janeen Coyle together to talk about one of their most precious causes, animal welfare. Adopted pet owners themselves, their care and concern for animals shines through every Wednesday morning during “Franks Friends,” one of the most popular radio segments in the Tri-State. Frank was a Pug-not just any Pug, just ask Janeen who wrote a children’s book about him. Frank passed away and within weeks, SPCA Cincinnati had found his earthly successor, Tank. Janeen and Tank are inseparable, as is our relationship with this fun-loving and supportive couple who rarely turn down a request to emcee, judge a contest or present an award at our special events.

Our friends at La Mega on WOXY 97.7 FM have been wonderful supporters of the SPCA Cincinnati's animals and mission. La Mega is the first and, at present, only FM radio station in the Cincinnati market broadcasting primarily in Spanish. The station plays a mix of Spanish pop and rock, regional Mexican, and tropical Latin music along with featuring the latest local events, news, contests and promotions.
