Ways to Donate to the SPCA Cincinnati
The animals at the SPCA Cincinnati depend on donations from people like you. Your gifts provide much needed food, care, and shelter to homeless and vulnerable animals. Did you know that many companies will match your donations? Ask your company today!
There are many ways to donate, including bringing in-kind donations of supplies such as pet food, towels, cat litter, and pet beds to our shelter. We accept both sealed and opened bags of unexpired pet food. We ask that open bags be closed and resealed to preserve freshness.
Your support makes you part of a driving force in animal welfare, strengthening the human-animal bond, providing humane education, eliminating pet overpopulation and more. Thank you for your generosity.
Sponsorships are $425 a month or $5,000 a year. If you prefer to pay for your sponsorship online, click here to donate and select Veteran Pet Adoption Program in the "Donate to" drop-down list.
Please provide any information or questions you may have in the Special Notes Section and we will get back to you! Thank you for helping out both our animals and those who serve.

The SPCA Cincinnati is proud to bring the Chow Now Pantry to our community! The SPCA Cincinnati has been Cincinnati’s hometown shelter since 1873, with many “firsts” to benefit animal welfare—the Chow Now Pantry is another first. We believe NO pet owner should be worried about surrendering an animal because of financial or health reasons.
Supported by SPCA Cincinnati’s AMAZING Volunteers and donations from the community, the Chow Now Pantry provides pet food and resources to over a dozen food pantries, serving six counties in Southwest Ohio. The Chow Now Pantry also operates weekly out of 516 W. Wyoming Ave. in Lockland (next door to Pets in Need) from 10 a.m. - 12 noon every Wednesday and at our Flagship location at 11471 Deerfield Rd. in Blue Ash from 1 - 4 p.m. every Thursday.
The SPCA Cincinnati continues to serve Veterans in our community by providing essential items for their animals at home. We serve our Veterans with a return visit two times a month to the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
From a letter received from the Executive Medical Center Director after our first visit:
"On behalf of the Cincinnati VAMC patients and staff, we would like to extend our appreciation to you for your donations of approximately 2,000 pounds of dog and cat food, cat litter, treats, cleaning supplies, etc. for our Veterans with animals.
It is through the efforts of community partners like you that allow us to continue the quality care and services that we seek to provide for deserving Veterans. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you again for future events."
How can you help? It's easy to donate via our Chow Now Amazon Wish List here! You can also bring dry or canned pet food, as well as anything for small animals, to the SPCA Cincinnati in Sharonville at 11900 Conrey Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
At the Chow Now Pantry, our goal is to keep people and pets together! Pets provide hope and comfort that everyone deserves, especially during challenging times. This initiative helps make that goal a reality by providing the essential resources needed to maintain a pet's health.

Amazon
One way you can help via Amazon is to purchase something from our Amazon Wish List. We also have a kitten nursery and would love donations to our "Baby Registry"!
Four Little Puppies. One Safe Place.
Four young dogs arrived in our care carrying more than just hunger from a suspected dogfighting ring.
They are still puppies, between five months and one year old. Three boys and one little girl. All are underweight. All are frightened. All show clear signs of neglect.
Sven. Barracuda. Crumble. Sleigh Bell.
Now their healing begins.
One puppy is walking on his wrists - a sign of an untreated injury that will require complex orthopedic surgery. Others are battling painful skin infections and open sores. All four show evidence of prolonged neglect.
And then there are the quieter wounds - the kind you cannot see, but that often take the longest to heal.
Each dog is experiencing significant social anxiety. They are unsure of human hands. Unsure of gentle voices. Unsure of what safety feels like.

Back in 2012, my husband Peter and I lost our 1-year-old French Bulldog, Bizzy, due to a very sudden and unexpected illness. After spending a week with our veterinarian, working tirelessly on medical treatments to try to get her well, we came to understand just how expensive critical care really is. We were fortunate enough to be able to try everything possible and this experience made us think more about the animals in a similar position who are rescued and sheltered by SPCA Cincinnati.
In 2014, when we learned that SPCA Cincinnati takes extraordinary measures to provide successful outcomes, we were inspired to create the Bizzy Fund. The mission of the Bizzy Fund is to provide funding to help these extraordinary cases and provide life-altering treatment to impact the lives of even more SPCA Cincinnati shelter animals in need of medical care, extensive surgeries, orthopedics, intensive around-the-clock care, or other measures necessary.
It is our belief that every animal should have a second chance at life and it gives us joy knowing that so many animals in need of extraordinary medical treatment are saved through this Fund with the help of the hardworking SPCA Cincinnati staff, volunteers, and foster care families. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing these innocent animals healthy, happy and on their way to loving homes.
Although Bizzy is not here with us today, her legacy lives on through each and every animal touched by this Fund.
SPCA Cincinnati works hard to save each animal’s life and we invite you to join us in fulfilling our mission. If you wish to give to the Bizzy Fund, you can do so here, and please let us know in the notes section. If you are sending your gift through the mail, simply indicate that you would like your gift to go to the Bizzy Fund.
We thank you for your consideration in allowing us to take extraordinary measures for these extraordinary cases, because SPCA Cincinnati values the lives of each and every animal they care for.
Our veterinary team is conducting comprehensive evaluations, but we already know their recovery will require advanced diagnostics, surgery, daily medical treatment, specialized nutrition, and dedicated behavioral rehabilitation.
This level of care represents a significant investment in each life.
As a trusted national partner in animal welfare, SPCA Cincinnati was asked to take in four of the most vulnerable dogs from a suspected dogfighting rescue - and we said yes. Taking on complex cases - the dogs who need more time, more expertise, and more compassion - is the work we are committed to.
Because of supporters like you, we can continue to say yes when the call comes.

Help Comfort Through The Crisis

Dear Friend of Animals,
Thank you for your support during this uncertain time. Due to the critical state of the public health crisis posed by COVID-19, the SPCA Cincinnati will remain closed to the public until further notice. But we need your help!
Even though we are closed to the public, we still have staff on-site, working to ensure the health, mental enrichment, and overall sanitation of hundreds of shelter animals that we care for like our own. They depend on us and it is our priority to protect and care for them. We are eternally grateful for our tireless volunteers and staff who are working to make sure all of our pets are receiving the same quality care. And we are SO thankful for generous supporters like you who make all of this possible!
Like everyone else right now, we don't know what the future looks like. So, I am asking you for a donation today to help keep our operations running at the same quality level as it always has.
There are several ways that you can help the SPCA Cincinnati during this time:
• Donate online here or by clicking the link above. We are still accepting donations through the mail but donating online will ensure that the funds get to us faster and also means less time our staff will need to be in the office during this cautious time. You can also drop off in-kind material items along with this form, which can be printed from home.
• Purchase something from our Amazon Wish List, which will ship directly to us.
• We would also love donations to our "Baby Registry"!
• Information about fostering a shelter animal can be found here.
Don’t forget, when shopping at Amazon, go to Amazon Smile. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the SPCA Cincinnati. Once signed into AmazonSmile, you simply choose “SPCA Cincinnati" as your supporting charity.
Once again, thank you for speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. Please take care of yourself and your family - furry and otherwise!
Sincerely,

Jake White
President & CEO
P.S. For more information about our temporary shelter closure, you can view our press release here.
