SPCA Cincinnati Announces Kat Steiner as New Chief Development Officer
CINCINNATI — January 1, 2026 — SPCA Cincinnati is proud to announce the appointment of Kat Steiner as its new Chief Development Officer. Steiner joins the organization at a pivotal moment as SPCA Cincinnati advances a bold, long-term strategy centered on transformational philanthropy, organizational growth, and expanded community impact.
Steiner brings more than 25 years of experience as a nonprofit executive and change agent, with deep expertise in building donor-centered fundraising strategies, leading high-performing development teams, and strengthening organizations through sustainable, relationship-driven philanthropy. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), she has worked across a range of mission-driven organizations, helping to align fundraising with values, vision, and long-term impact.
“Kat is exactly the kind of leader SPCA Cincinnati needs at this moment,” said Chris Seelbach, President & CEO of SPCA Cincinnati. “Our future depends on moving beyond transactional fundraising and building deep, trust-based relationships with people who believe in our mission. Kat brings the strategic discipline, humanity, and optimism required to do that work well. She understands how philanthropy fuels impact, and I’m thrilled to welcome her to our leadership team.”
As Chief Development Officer, Steiner will lead all philanthropic strategy for SPCA Cincinnati, including major and planned giving, donor relations, and development operations, as the organization prepares for its next phase of growth — including expanded access to care, facility improvements, and long-term sustainability initiatives.
“I’m honored to join SPCA Cincinnati at a pivotal moment,” said Kat Steiner. “The organization’s leadership has a clear vision, a strong commitment to animals and community, and a strategic approach to innovation that connects pets and people while expanding access to care. I look forward to building upon partnerships and securing resources that will strengthen SPCA Cincinnati’s impact across our region.”
Steiner is known for her collaborative leadership style, positive energy, and ability to foster cultures rooted in trust and shared purpose. She lives in Cincinnati with her family and their two rescue dogs, Wolfie and Teddie.
SPCA Cincinnati’s work is made possible through the generosity of donors who believe that every animal deserves safety, care, and a chance at a loving home.
